Abstract: This paper examines corporate governance and disclosure practices within family business groups in India, with a focus on the GVK group. The study analyses data from randomly selected four financial years: 2003-04, 2004-2005, 2009-2010 and 2019-2020. The case study approach concludes that GVK group companies currently adhere to highquality corporate governance practices, complying with both mandated and non-mandated corporate governance norms. Additionally, the study concludes that disclosure practices within the groups companies are characterized by high level of transparency and accountability. |
