Abstract:
The study focuses on the Correlation of Spirituality and age of Older Adults. This study utilized a correlational research design to investigate the relationship between spirituality and age among older adults. Moreover, the target population consisted of older adults aged 60 and above residing in Cebu City. Participants were randomly selected from a list of registered members in local senior centers, religious organizations, and healthcare facilities. Likewise, Spirituality was assessed using the Daily Spiritual Experience Scale (DSES) by Underwood and Teresi (2002), a validated 16-item tool that measures the frequency and intensity of daily spiritual experiences. The study revealed a significant but weak association, highlighting that while age may play a role in spirituality, other factors could also influence this relationship. The findings suggest that as individuals age, their spiritual beliefs and practices may increase, despite to a modest degree.
